The villas are in a very privileged location that guarantees solitude and tranquility while being only minutes away from the vibrant Matala (4,6 Km) with its hippy vibes and 60's rock legacy. In addition to the famous beach with the iconic “caves”, in Matala, you will discover restaurants, taverns and fish taverns, as well as several cafés and pubs that frequently offer live performances by artists from around the world. During the summer, the Matala Festival is held, which in-cludes large concerts, a variety of cultural and sports events, and a local fair with handicrafts and delightful street food.

Pitsidia, with its scenic square, is eight hundred meters from the villas, while a supermarkets, pharmacy, cafés, pubs, and other facilities are just five hundred meters away.

Kommos beach (2,7 km) lies under the shadow of the archaeological site, which operated as a port and customs office during the Minoan period and as a supply point for the Phaistos palace. Tamarind trees and cedars provide shade from the blazing heat on Kommos' beach, while the famed white sand lilies bloom on the sand dunes. The sea turtle Caretta - Caretta has also picked Kommos as the location for her eggs to hatch. In the vicinity, we frequently find little fences with marks indicating that eggs have been laid there.

Agiofarango (14,6 km) is a beautiful beach with fine white pebbles at the end of the dramatic Gorge of the Saints. The beach's position shields it from the area's typical northwesterly winds and provides a haven for visitors.

A quick 10-minute drive will take you to the ar-chaeological site of Phaistos (7,8 km), which has the famous palace where Rhadamanthys,  brother of the mythological king of Crete Minos, resided. The world famous "Disk of Phaistos" was discov-ered here in the excavations of 1908 and is a clay disk on both sides of which there is an engraved text with 241 characters in a spiral pattern that archaeologists have not yet entirely deciphered. The "Disc of Phaistos," along with other Minoan period treasures, is exhibited at Heraklion's Archaeological Museum (58 km).
